We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter and Mig Welder to install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for commercial and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various piping materials and ensuring high-quality installations that comply with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, and repair piping systems, including water, gas, and industrial piping.
  • Cut, thread, weld, and assemble pipes using various tools and techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry codes, and project requirements.
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
  • Work closely with other trades, including welders, plumbers, and general contractors.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Train and mentor apprentices and junior pipe fitters.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pipe fitting for commercial or industrial projects.
  • 6G Welding Certification
  • Ability to utilize tape measure and use math (algebra and trig).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, read weld symbols, and piping schematics.
  • Experience working with a variety of pipe materials, including steel, copper, and PVC.
  • Proficiency in using pipe fitting tools, including cutting, threading, sheers, and welding equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in pipe fitting or MIG welding.
  • Experience with industrial piping systems and HVAC piping.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
